Wildlife Adventure Books

This series of illustrated children's activity books highlight unique wildlife and habitats that are found across the state of New Mexico. Each page is paired with age appropriate text, math activities, and an embedded QR code that links to a video showcasing real footage of the animals featured on the page. These books are currently being distributed free of charge to every 4th and 5th grade student in the Albuquerque public school system.


A book highlighting the Petroglyph National Monument is under development and scheduled for release in 2026, as well as spanish language versions of the two books currently in production.

Sandia Mountain Wildlife Adventure

This book features the wildlife of the Sandia Mountains from the dry desert foothills to the cold forested crest. It highlights how both animals and habitats change as elevation increases. Includes 5th grade level text and math activities.

This book is currently being distributed to every Albuquerque Public School 5th grader through a partnership with the Sandia Mountain Natural History Center

Bosque Wildlife Adventure

This book features the wildlife of the bosque and it's surrounding desert habitat. It emphasizes how life in this area is tied to water, from kangaroo rats that never need to drink to endangered fish that swim in the Rio Grande. Includes 4th grade level text and math activities.

This book is currently being distributed to every Albuquerque Public School 4th grader through a partnership with the Albuquerque Bernalillo County Water Utility Authority
